Suzano is committed to ensuring your privacy and the protection of your personal data, as well as the data of anyone who has any type of relationship with us. Accordingly, we undertake to carry out activities involving the processing of personal information in a responsible manner and in compliance with applicable personal data protection laws.
For this reason, this Privacy and Personal Data Protection Notice formalizes our commitment to transparency, so that you can clearly, simply, and objectively understand which personal information and purposes are involved in processing activities, and whether such information will be shared with third parties.
The data subjects involved in this e-mail marketing process belong directly and/or indirectly to the database of their respective clients, partners, third parties of interest, associations, and others related to Suzano, referred to as “Interested Parties” or “B2B – Business to Business,” located in Brazil or abroad.
1. What are personal data?
In the context of this Privacy and Personal Data Protection Notice, personal data means any and all information related to a natural person (individual) who is identified or identifiable, including sensitive personal data (racial or ethnic origin, religious belief, political opinion, membership in a religious, philosophical or political organization, data related to health or sexual life, genetic or biometric data).
2. Which personal data will be processed?
The personal information processed below is limited to the information necessary to fulfill the activities and purposes mentioned in item 3:
- Company Name;
- Corporate E-mail Address;
- Name of Commercial Representative;
- Corporate Landline Phone Number;
- Corporate Mobile Phone Number;
- Job Title;
- State/City;
- Country.
It is important to clarify that the personal information was provided during commercial activities and/or prospecting between Suzano and the Interested Parties.
3. What is the purpose of processing personal data in this process?
Suzano processes the personal information mentioned above for the sole and exclusive purpose of communication and/or relationship with the Interested Parties. The processing includes, among other activities:
- Sending e-mails containing information about Suzano, such as sustainability goals, annual reports, ESG initiatives, awards, and others;
- Sending e-mails with product updates, such as application cases and new certifications;
- Sending educational e-mails about product benefits;
- Sending e-mails related to communications about any changes in product specifications or information related to company/plant operations;
- Sending institutional newsletters.
4. Can personal data be shared after collection?
In connection with the activities described above, Suzano may eventually share information, including personal data, with other Suzano areas and/or suppliers related to the development of such activities. Technical specialists may access information necessary regarding products, without any additional authorization being required for such access, provided that access is personal and limited to what is strictly necessary.
Sharing will occur only when necessary, and access will be restricted to personal information essential to the specific purpose.
For e-mail marketing activities, the authorized partner company Mailchimp, CNPJ no. ___, may process data to perform the contracted service. Suzano will have access to the processed personal information.
5. How long will my personal data be stored?
Personal information will be retained for the time necessary to fulfill the purposes mentioned above, in accordance with applicable legislation and regulations, as well as Suzano’s internal guidelines.
6. What are my rights as a Personal Data Subject?
Your rights include:
- Confirming the existence of personal data processing;
- Knowing which personal data are being processed or having access to such data;
- Correcting incomplete or outdated personal data;
- Understanding the reasons for processing;
- Revoking consent, if applicable;
- Being informed about the origin of personal data;
- Being informed about the parties responsible for processing;
- In certain cases, objecting to specific types of processing;
- In certain cases, requesting anonymization, blocking, or deletion of personal data processed excessively or in non-compliance with the law.
Requests will be evaluated by the Privacy and Personal Data Protection Area to assess feasibility. Please note that these rights are not absolute and may require specific analysis.
